When Macklin is released from prison he learns that his brother was killed for their robbing of a syndicate operated bank. His friend Cody helps him gratify his thirst for revenge.
This one's pretty Duvall. Joe Don Baker, Karen Black and Timothy Carey under one movie-roof?! And it's directed by John Flynn of Rolling Thunder and Out For Justice fame.

Early 70s Crime Mish-Mash
Mar 6th : The Nickel Ride
Mar 13th: The Outfit
Mar 20th: The Last Run
Mar 27th: Hickey and Boggs
No clever title, not much of a unifying thread. All these movies were made from 1971 to 1973. They all involve crime, criminals or private eyes. Some of them have that existential malaise and fatalism so prevalent in the genre in this era, others are straight ahead action films... the only thing they really have in common is that I wanna watch them this month.

December 20th: Raising Cain
If you need more evil, ruthless, dance-hating Lithgow to keep you going I recommend Blow Out, Obsession (1976), Footloose (1984) and Harry and the Hendersons.
