2012 Roundup
As the Oscars near everyone waits with baited breath to see which masturbatory turd or generic pap will be deemed the greatest cinematic achievement of the year - meanwhile, we movienighters can celebrate the under-represented genre fare of 2012. These movies aren't without flaws, some are seriously maligned by them, but these are still my picks for genre films of the year (barring the few exceptions that actually did get Oscar attention)...

Corbucci's West
In an effort to get Movienight back on track after the devastation the "Wheel of Dogshit" rent upon us in December, I'm taking it back to it's roots. To celebrate Tarantino's 'Django Unchained' (which is a lot of fun and gets a high recommendation) we'll be playing some of Sergio Corbucci's Spaghetti Westerns this month. We've actually screened most of these before but that was a long time ago and they're pretty much the reason Movienight exists - so what better way to get the new year rolling?
