definitely hot and badass. especially hot. best sex scene i can think of. and the color pallet was awesome -- consistantly tequila sunrise. well shot, well done. sax=naked
ReplyDeletePretty bold movie, had the balls to go there with the sax. And I liked that even though they had the most expensive A list cast of the era they did stuff like have a big important dialogue scene be totally backlit at sunset, making the features of the actors totally undecipherable.
ReplyDeleteAnd even though the plot was easy to follow I appreciate that they never over explained anything, we just had to keep up. I like it when movies don't insult the audience's intelligence. Of course Robert Towne wrote Chinatown, which is so much in that vein that I think it becomes difficult to follow at times, but yeah . . . a good balance.
Too bad McCusack's son died in the surfing accident . . . or rather starved to death from never getting that angel hair spaghetti.
