Man, I still cannot see how he made Dreamcatcher . . . Dreamcatcher sorta has a kind of inspired, manic genius to it where the guy would have to be crazy or totally retarded to have made it. Body Heat proves that Kasdan is neither, just a competent guy who can make a coherent, slick looking thriller that works. Weird indeed. Hurt is pretty rad here, some great little turns of character that I like a lot . . . lots of groans and muffled "hmf" noises that he throws in after a sentence. And his sweet cut-off shorts that he gets a BJ in.
Hurt, meat, Weird Al, Aaron, Dreamcatcher.. all good things!
But agreed, strange both movies were made by the same man, I loved them both but in totally different ways. Seriously nice cinematography and really made you feel the hot winds and foggy nights.
Just found out Body Heat is one of my dads favorite movies!

ReplyDeleteHe's too much like a hot dog! He grossed me out. I don't eat hot dogs, though. Maybe Hurt is a man for meat eaters.
ReplyDeleteAll men gross you out but Weird Al and Aaron . . . and soon Aaron will be a leather skinned hot dog with a Weird Al jerry curl.
