DECEMBER: On the Wings of Love
This Christmas Wings'll be keepin tabs on whose naughty n' whose nice. Wings Hauser, That's who! We got a sweet line-up of Hauser-treats. Mainly delectable morsels of straight-to-video madness. Pimps, hookers, bums, madmen, degenerates and plenty of Brion James too!
We will not be screening Wings' breakout and probably best film, Vice Squad. Why you ask? For totally selfish reasons, I've watched it a lot lately. But I do totally recommend it and am happy to loan it to you. Since I'm not gonna be in town on Tuesday the 28th maybe Katy will wanna screen that one.

NOVEMBER: Neo Noir CONT.
Throughout November over at the Silent Movie Theater the Cinefamily has some really great double features going on the first three Fridays of the month. Their program, entitled Neon Noir, has a lot of awesome 80s crime films (almost all of which have been played for Movienight at some time or another). Here's the info on that:

Since most of them fall on a Friday I'll probably be working, but they are playing a double feature of 8 Million Ways to Die and the totally fucking rad To Live and Die in L.A. on Tuesday the 23rd. In light of this situation I decided to make that date a movienight field trip to the Silent Movie Theater and ride on the coattails of their programming for the month.
Like I said, we've already played most of their stuff and a lot of the other 80s noir goodies (Cutter's Way, Manhunter, Thief, Dressed to Kill, Blood Simple, American Gigolo, The Driver, 52 Pick-Up . . . even To Live and Die in L.A.) but there's still plenty of juicy ones left! We got some steamy ones, so bring yer swamp cooler . . . I'm just gonna call it Neo Noir CONT. as these movies aren't as urban and gritty as Cinefamily's "Neon Noir" line-up. I recommend you make it out to as many of their flicks next month as possible. Here's ours:

OCTOBER: Sow yer Wild Oates - Some More Warren Oates Movies
Yeah, Warren Oates is my favorite actor and I've played a lot of his movies for movienights past, so what?! I haven't played these ones before so don't gimme any shit. He's rarely the main character, and isn't playing one in any of these, but he's a real treasure . . . a morsel of a man. Some of these puppies are OOP goodies. The Shooting in particular is hard to find uncut/widescreen, so come on out for that.
